Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description:

Candidate assists the physical therapist in the provision of physical therapy, providing intervention under the supervision of a physical therapist. The physical therapist assistant may modify an intervention only in accordance with changes in patient/ client status and within the scope of the plan of care that has been established by the physical therapist.



Preferred Skills:

A minimum of a two year Associates degree of Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited PTA program; Must maintain appropriate licensure to practice in the state of Illinois; Previous experience in an outpatient setting highly desirable.

Intervention involves therapeutic uses of meaningful and purposeful occupations, adaptation of environments and promotion of health and wellness. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in out-patient orthopedics and industrial rehab.
